PNG to SVG: keep the artwork, inspect the edges

Use the original PNG rather than a screenshot. PNG can contain a transparent background; Detail preserves colored regions, while Vinyl with Transparency silhouette creates one filled outline. White artwork on transparency is visible on the editor’s checkerboard.

For a small colored logo, start with Detail, crop closely, and compare at 2× zoom. Hide a background color in Edit vector regions. Check dots in letters before removing small regions. A vector trace outlines letters; it does not recover blurry text or create editable fonts.

Local inputs are limited to 8 MB and 40 megapixels. Processing is bounded to 1600 pixels on the long edge and 1.6 million pixels; cropping before resizing gives the chosen detail more of that budget.
